LBA2 Remake is at Risk – Join the Fight

Dear Twinsider,

Today, we’re at a turning point in the LBA2 Remake journey—and we need you with us.

Microids Is Out. We’re Not.

Microids has decided not to publish LBA2 Remake. Despite Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest being their second-best performing game on Steam in 2024, the company is shifting its publishing strategy. Their new management team has chosen to focus on a different type of project in the coming months.

That won’t stop us.

This decision put us in a difficult position—but we’re still here, fighting. We’ve already done the hardest part with Twinsen’s Quest: rebuilding the engine, proving the IP can resonate today, and uniting a passionate community. We can’t abandon now.

Our current plan: self-publish the LBA2 Remake

We’re Asking for Your Help

To make self-publishing possible, we need funding. After interviews, surveys, and lots of community feedback, we’re proposing three ways you can support the game:

  1. Make One-Time Donation
  2. Support Monthly
  3. Become an Investor

We chose Ko-Fi as our platform—it’s fast, trusted by over 1 million creators, and gives you the freedom to support us however you choose.

1. One-Time Donation

For those who want to support the project without a monthly commitment—or for fans in regions where €5/month has a higher cost of living—this is the simplest way to contribute.

👉 Donate via Ko-Fi

2. Join the Elves Club – A Monthly Adventure

More than a subscription: it’s your chance to go behind the scenes of LBA2 Remake development, with exclusive content and access.

Note: All rewards (except the credits) give you access to the journey of making the game. They’re not tied to whether the game is released.

Each tier has a minimum pledge based on our production costs—but you’re free to give more if you’d like.

👉 Join the Elves Club

3. Become an Investor

Some of you have expressed interest in making a major contribution. We’re now opening the door to private investment.

  • Minimum investment: 10 000€
  • You’ll become co-owner of the studio
  • This isn’t a donation—it’s a long-term commitment to the game’s success

👉 To discuss investment, send a message via the contact form

Thank you

Thanks to your involvement, we will convince banks and other investors to follow your lead. Let’s build the next phase for LBA—together.

Let’s go!

Ben

  1. It is really a shame that Microids have opted out what could be a true revival of the franchise and hopes to carry it on to stay relevant. But given the perception on publishers nowadays, that’s not exactly a surprising matter and a poignantly common practice among them to boot. But it shouldn’t be that way and I hope the merry best for all of you to carry on reviving Little Big Adventure 2 for its rightful and timely return and beat the tighter chances laid out against you.

    Sendell guide you.

  2. Eduardo Tomazzoni

I didn’t like at all the direction you guys took with the first “remaster/remake”. It became so childish and generic for me. I’m not particulary exited with tha second one now. But, you know, I wish you all the best anyways. Good luck.

  3. could you announce what amount we need to raise to be successful?
I will Join the Elves Club a monthly membership for 20 euro)
I’ll ask my friends to do the same

  4. Bon courage pour la suite, oui, on sent qu’ils sont de plus en plus frileux pour les projets, qui ne leur apporte pas de grosses sommes régulières. Oui, c’est bien triste. Bonne énergie à vous pour faire la suite 🙂

  5. A Kickstarter makes way more sense. It baffling you never did a Collector’s Edition of the first game’s remake after the successful Symphonic album a few years back.
That Patreon email/survey you sent was abysmal, I will not be paying monthly for such a thing in any shape or form. Not for LBA or any game franchise.
