About Philippe Vachey

Dear Community,

One of the most frequent questions since the launch of this project has been: Is Philippe Vachey returning to compose the soundtrack for the remake?

Before answering, let’s remember that Philippe was part of the team at Adeline Software. He composed the music for LBA1, Time Commando, and LBA2.

His music left a lasting impression on all LBA players. Proof of this impact, Philippe recently released an orchestral version of the original soundtrack through a crowdfunding campaign. (You can listen to it here).

His return has been a recurring topic since the creation of our studio. It took us some time to mature the right project, but since we signed a publisher, it was time to move forward.

We have two major announcements regarding this.

First news: Philippe is back! All the original music has been rearranged and re-recorded to fit perfectly into the remake. Exclusive new pieces have also been composed to accompany the new artistic direction. The blend of old and new compositions promises to bring a unique musical depth to the remake.

Second news: He has already recorded everything! Philippe worked closely with our team to ensure that each track meets the expectations of long-time fans as well as new players.

As a gift, you can listen to 30 seconds of a brand new track exclusively:

We are thrilled to have Philippe once again accompany Twinsen’s adventures with his inimitable compositions.

We can’t wait to share all of this with you.

  1. Woah! That’s fantastic news and the snippet sounds fantastic! It fits exactly the same vibe as the OG soundtrack– I wonder if that’s an old composition from that era? Or maybe he’s so good that he has no problem nailing the same vibe 30 years later!

  9. Why are there no comments section on the newest “Announcement Teaser” post.

I just want to say congratulations and an extra thought. Like Revolution did with the new version of Broken Sword, you could do a Kickstarter for a Collector’s Edition of Little Big Adventure Twinsen’s Quest. It would be the best way to simply make the amount that people/fans actually want and you wouldn’t be wasting money that way.

After how well the LBA Symphony Kickstarter went, I can only assume it would do pretty decent. People can make the choice if they get a PS5/Switch physical version then or a digital version instead with their choice of platform of course. Would other people go for that too?
